Hi thanks Haim, That was what I thought too. But I don't know the absolute
pathnames. GoDaddy had this to say:

Upon review of your account it appears that you do not have a dedicated IP
address for your site; therefore you will most likely not want to use the IP
address, but instead reference the full URL
http://dummipedia.com/commonmw140.

If you require an IP address and cannot use a URL, a dedicated IP address
can be added to your hosting account.
To add a dedicated IP to your shared hosting account:

   1. Purchase a Dedicated IP credit from our website.
   2. Log in to your Account
Manager<http://mya.godaddy.com/default.aspx?prog_id=GoDaddy>
   .
   3. In the My Products section, select *Hosting*.
   4. Click the applicable hosting account.
   5. In the Hosting Account Details section on the right, click *Apply
   Dedicated IP Address*.
