There is likely a redirect hiding old revisions on one of the pages. 
Check the history of all the pages involved in the redirect. There will 
be a few with only one or two revisions that are purely redirects, those 
can be deleted. Then there should be one page that has a redirect as the 
recent revision, but has a number of revisions in the history. That's 
the one you can fix by reverting to content and moving it to the proper 
location.
