hi,
up until now , SCMS wasnt much of a bother to me. today, i copied a
compilation of songs from various MD's to a DAT tape for a friend. i decided
i liked the compilation so much i wanted to make an MD from the DAT tape.
well, SCMS wouldnt let me, the DAT deck also has SCMS. i easliy got around
it by using my soundcard. DAT into the soundcard input, and soundcard output
to my MD deck, both optically. it seems the soundcard( turtle beach montego
II ) ignores SCMS. just make sure other programs are closed, anything that
might play a WAV. file , like an e mail alert, ect. those noises will end up
on the recording.
