Can anybody point me to a place on the web where I can buy component
video cables? I've found Amazon.com for $140 but their service really
sucks-I'm still waiting for them to send DVD's that were released
January 16th I pre-ordered weeks ago they haven't sent. And I found a
place to make them professionally for $175. The $140 price at Amazon is
for two component video cables, one 6 feet, one 20 feet. Both are
Monster cables. I found a company called Phoenix Gold or something like
that with cables about half that price, but I've never heard of them and
don't know if they're any good.
What I want to do is hook my Dell laptop up to my HDTV to use the HDTV
as a viewing monitor. I have already received the Logitech wireless
keyboard/mouse combo and I ordered the VGA to component adapter box last
week from Key Digital. The component cables are the last pieces I need.
Also, supposedly this setup will allow me to view DVD-ROM upconverted to
720p through the component cable but I'm not quite sure how it works.
But people are doing it.
