If you dont mind my opinion on the solid state recording: I fully agree
eventually solid state recording may capture the portable digital market,
but I hope a much better compression algorithm is used as MP3 sounds so
BAD! There are much better algorithms available eg AAC (I have yet to hear
it but technically it is better), but still I don't beleive they are good
enough for the high compression required for solid state audio in order to
achieve perceptually transparent recordings (or close there to). Despite
this it will be good when wired audio services are available over a
moderately low bandwidth communication system.
