Description: serviceInit can servicestart be delayed and executes later
than other member functions, and cause NullPointerException. (was: In
`BackupStore`, `createInDiskSegment()` can execute before `write`, which makes
`writer` null and if `spillNumber` is zero, the assertion is raised.)
