MI: Locking frame content in layout: Possible?

Hi,   Is there a way to eliminate refreshing of a layout frame content? I have a map that I want to show on a layout. Once displayed, I don't want the content to move while I'm panning/zooming/resizing the mapper with which it is associated.   Is there a MB procedure to solve this problem or do I have to create a workspace to ensure that I can keep the view I want safe?   Thanks in advance for your answers,   Jeff Lepine
