Brian,
I assume you have either ArcView (with SA), or ArcInfo (with Grid).
My answer is no. You would need to use Vertical Mapper to get the GRD
file into an ASCII xyz grid .
But again this list is full surprises...

an ESRI GRID file without using vertical mapper?
