The format of the map is officially supposed to be mapinfo files. I wonder
if there are some boundary problems in your files.
I'm actually about to launch an Excel mapping training program, given that
everyone in my organization uses Excel and wants maps (and my boss was
concerned that no one could map when I was on vacation.)
Years ago I prepared some training materials, still practically unused.
I'll dig 'em up and make 'em available to everybody, one of these
days/weeks/months
