Could anyone point me in the right direction. I am trying to write some mapbasic code to label points. These points make up many seismic lines and i would like to be able to find a way of labeling only every 10th, 50th or 100th point and also rotating all the labels so that they are at 90 degrees to the angle of the line. I have tried to do this using the CreateText command but the labels appear very messy and not well positioned to the points even after playing around with the anchor and offset values. This is also very slow as i have large numbers of points to label. I would prefer to use automatic labeling as this is much neater and quicker, but i can't see how to sample the labeling to defined intervals or how to rotate labels depending on the varying angles of each line of points.
