(MUST spf pass)

| Honest question...
| Why are people forwarding mail to an off-server email address in 2025?

1. To loop new, now-relevant third-parties into an ongoing conversation. Think
like a lawyer forwarding an email thread with their client to an expert witness.

2. To share an email (e.g. from a mailing list) that you think would be of
interest to your colleagues and/or friends.

FWIW, our company focuses on Zimbra software, and in the Zimbra web client,
when you select the "Forward" action, the Zimbra web client actually crafts a
brand new email message but tarts it all up to look like a forward. Such emails
then pass SPF no problem, since the envelope sender's domain is the user doing
the "forwarding".

Mark
