My mailing lists contain text in various russian encoding, cp1251, koi8-r, utf-8, cp866. Mnogosearch search engine can convert on-the-fly these encodings into one encoding, specified in Mnogosearch configuration, and write to database. Can Namazu do such things ? If it can do that then I would try to transfer to Namazu.
