Last night was too exciting. I wanted to incorporate archives of an old
list that I had converted to mailman a few months back. I found a Mailman
FAQ at:
http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?query=archives&querytype=simple&casefold=yes&req=search

Following the instructions I tried to convert a 42M archive. I executed
the command to make the pipermail archive (with my list name inserted
where <list> is):

 bin/arch <list> archives/private/<list>.mbox/<list>.mbox
Note: bin/arch was executed from /var/lib/mailman

Instead of getting a larger web archive, everything dissappeared from the
archive directory on down the root tree -- not only for this list but for
all my lists.

Does anyone have any idea where the files may have gone, besides the bit
bucket?

Much TIA!
