Hi everyone I'm Archie, and I am elated to announce that I have been selected as one of the contributors for Google Summer of Code 2026. Thank you all for your guidance and support during the application period.
For my project, I will be implementing Dynamic Sublists into the Mailman 3 Suite. The plan is to extend the SQLAlchemy schema with a self referential parent_id, allowing users to dynamically provision child MailingList objects via the -new or -follow email commands. Being native objects, they naturally inherit the configurations of the parent list and use the existing member_recipients handler for routing. I'm really looking forward to working on the project this summer!
