I edited my "New Mail" folder file to remove an existing message, and replace the contents with the message that was causing the problem (which got dumped with the debug dump), and Mahogany read the folder file and I was able to read the email. I am afraid I cannot give you access to my work POP3 server, but in any case, since I needed to be able to use my email, I connected to the POP3 server from another machine using Outlook, and deleted the email that was causing the problem.
