> Thanks David. How does that work? No real idea - but it clearly plays with gconf :) In turn gconf is the gnome/gtk mechanism to set config values for applications. Unlike simple text config files, gconf is dynamic - apps will get told about and should respond to gconf changes immediately. I just happened to see it a few seconds before your post and thought you could look there for clues...
