Hi, I am trying to scan the wireless channel using N800 ( os2008) for AP (Access Points). I am using wireless-tools. I let "iwlist wlan0 scan" run in an infinite loop with 150 sec sleep between the two scans.
The scan fails after some time (~10mins). I suspect that when device gets disconnected from the AP, it powers down the wireless card and thus the scanning fails. I am roaming with the device so its not possible for the device to always have the association. Is there a way to bypass the powering down of the card? or is there any other method which can be used to scan the Access Points continously? Thanks a lot !! Udayan
