at http://www.arava.co.il/matan/770/maemo-pptp-2.tgz
is a set of files that allows using PPTP on the Nokia 770.
The files include:
zImage - compiled from the source in the repository, with the addition config
of:
CONFIG_PPP_MPPE=y
CONFIG_CRYPTO=y
CONFIG_CRYPTO_SHA1=y
CONFIG_CRYPTO_ARC4=y
(the only thing here that can't be compiled as a module is CONFIG_CRYPTO, so if
Nokia will enable this in their default kernel builds, there will be no need to
replace kernel for PPTP).
pptp - compiled from pptp-1.7.0 in scratchbox.
dbus-s - a modification of dbus-monitor that instead of printing messages,
calls a script (/usr/bin/dbus-script) with the message parameters as command
line parameters. This is used for automatically running pptp tunnel after
connecting to correct wireless network.
I think this can also be useful for other purposes as well. (Source and
