I'm not sure this is possible but you can set the boot device to mmc via
flasher and boot from mmc card with some sort of recovery root fs
prepared. It can be even a copy of normal working rootfs from flash with
few changes (like /etc/fstab). Then you can mount internal flash
partitions and repair it.

If you have linux desktop available you can prepare the card from
desktop. There are instruction in the wiki how to extract fiasco image
(use flasher) and how to mount jffs2 filesystem.
