I'm trying to configure my N770 environment by setting up things like PATH, alias, things like that, and I'm absolutely not clear about where I should put the commands. :-/ I've started changing /home/user/.profile: the "export PATH=..." is well recognized but "alias vi='vim'" for example is ignored. Which files should I modify? ~/.profile, ~/.login, ~/.bashrc or corresponding files in /etc??? I've also noticed that these settings may not be taken into account depending whether I connect to the N770 using SSH or not...
