Ok, I've been playing with this thing a bit more and I am having a problem: I start Asterisk from a SSH shell (faster to use my computer's keyboard then the builtin VKB). All works fine, but sometimes (apparently randomly), Asterisk gets killed. It doesn't crash or anything, it is simply killed...

I have read that this can happen to applications started from the app launcher. But I am not using that, I'm simply starting it from command line, as root. Is there some kind of watchdog in Maemo that could kill the process?

Thanks for your support guys!

Well done!! So not only have you turned the 770 into an IAX VoIP phone
(ok, the console client still needs to be connected to BT), but you have
managed to create a real "mobile office" :)

I am running a fairly sophisticated Asterisk setup here (POTS, ISDN, IAX
and SIP termination, Cisco 7960's, xyzels, doorbell, you name it), so if
I can help with some testing or something...
