Hi,
Just a quick note: I have seen by my own eyes bluetooth keyboard
running with N770 and it works fine. However, the problem currently is
the input method (virtual keyboard) which
pops up when you tap some input field. If that does not bother you, the
external keyboard is usable without modifications allthough is currently
unsupported.

ext Claudio Takahasi wrotHi folks,
Currently, the possible input methods for the Nokia 770
are hand writing and virtual keyboard. I read the last email
regarding input method in the SDK, this is not my case. I want
use a external keyboard(usb or Bluetooth) on 770.
My questions are:
1. Is there external keyboard support in the X windows system?
2. USB keyboard
Nokia 770 has an USB OTG connector. I don't know
if there is an USB keyboard with miniA-B connector.
If not, a normal hub can solve my problem.
Is this configuration possible? Is there an especial HW
converter or a normal USB hub can be used?
3. Bluetooth Keyboard
If X support external keyboard I don't see problems to
use the bluez hidd (human interface device daemon) to
connect Bluetooth keyboards. A better user interface
shall be developed to make the connection easier.
A D-Bus service for hidd daemon can help developers
integrate all Bluetooth services in one applet or application.
This is not developed yet, but I can develop it.
Claudio.
