The startup notification is implemented so that Libosso sends a signal
to Task Navigator when an application is activated by it. The signal is
not currently sent when the application is activated by other means than
Libosso. (We are adding it to Libmimeopen, so that it is shown when
File Manager activates the application.)

I think currently it is not possible to add a new "virtual directory",
because of the ugly way they are implemented (I think hardcoding is
involved to handle them in widgets). But it is possible to add new MIME
type for Plucker files, so that File Manager can activate it when an eBook
is opened.
