Hi all,

I'm new to the maemo platform and relative new to linux coding. This platform
looks very cool and exciting for me. :-)

I thought about a Voice-over-IP application that uses a headset via bluetooth.
Theoretical this should be possible, but
at the tutorial there's a paragraph ("Things not yet part of maemo SDK"), that
says that WLAN access and multimedia
support is not possible through the maemo SDK. I'm not sure what this means for
my plans. I will use the existing
WLAN connection to initiate VoIP sessions via SIP and send the audio stream
itself via RTP protocol, so I don't need
necessarily access to a WLAN API. The bluetooth headset should be accessible
through a generic bluetooth
interface.
The only thing I need is access to TCP, IP and UDP as on common Linux operating
systems.
Seeing that, this application should be possible to build anyway. Or not?

Many thanks for your answers in advance!

Bye,

Timo
