Thanks for all your replies.
Sorry if my mail was confusing, I got it running with the install.sh
before sending my mail. Just wanted to point out some options to improve
the installation process.
What I meant with the debian packages is that my preferred method of
installing would be
add some maemo repository and then do "apt-get install maemo" and that
would install all the necessary packages. So the packages mentioned in
the other mails from scratchbox.org and the maemo rootstrap modules

Hi,
Just installed maemo. :-) After installing it said logout and then start
/usr/bin/scratchbox
On my install that doesn't exist. So I went to the scratchbox site and
discovered that I had to do /scratchbox/install instead.
It might also be good to mention on the download page how to start
scratchbox. Furthermore the text /etc/apt/sources.list should contain
the following might be confusing for people. With an install that is
there. I read that people added these lines to the sources.list of their
Debian system and by that completely hosed their system.
I suggest removing the remark about the sources.list file and to put
something there on how to start scratchbox and how to install and run
one of the maemo apps instead.
Furthermore I (and probably other debian users) would like to have
debian packages instead of the install script. The scratchbox project
already provides debian packages for scratchbox
