Those are compressed sizes; uncompressed they take about 5.5Gb .

Right, looks like something isn't right - or something was changed
significantly since 10.9.
I do have a 277Mb large /opt/local/share/icons, but those shouldn't be picked
up by Apple's IconServices (only a few icon theme directories have ever been
opened in the Finder, and only by me, not any of the other users with big icon
caches.
