- Before listing or installing any dependencies, ask MacPorts for the name (full path) of the resulting binary tarball like /opt/local/var/macports/software/name/name-vers_rev.darwin_xx.x86_64.tbz2 - If that tarball exists, skip the rest of the build procedure.
