It would seem to be related to the display/handling of the complex HTML code in the Active.com messages. Outlook borrows some code from IExplorer (the ActiveX Controls Library) to do this work so you see the message just like a web page. It might be as simple as making sure you have the most update version of IExplorer and/or Outlook Express (OE would be 5.02 or 5.04) or moving up to Entourage. Also, you might browse the archives of this list, as you might find some threads on HTML. Here are two pieces of discussion on the subject from prior MAC-OE talks. The second is aimed at making OE display all HTML messages as text, which some people prefer because of speed etc. You might try the simple solution of increasing memory size to OE and see if that solves the problem.
