Hello Alexander

I am maybe not the "typical" user of Machinekit as I am retired and tend to
pick at things slowly and like to learn new things. My education on all
things CNC started with looking at Machinekit - then I realized I needed to
know how to model things first. So I went to learn Fusion 360, after
fiddling a bit with Sketchup. That task completed (took months), I went
back to look at the Machinekit documentation and quickly got lost as I
realized "It seems I need to know Linux". SO.....off to read a 500 page
book on Linux, watch about 40 hours of Youtube videos and install a virtual
box and Linux on my WIndows laptop (another span of months). Right, with
that out of the way, I went back to Machinekit again......then I hit the
PyVCP stuff.....Hmmm....what's this Python stuff? Yep - you guessed it -
at the moment I am working my way though a Python for Beginners course I
found on line. Did I mention I am retired ? LOL

Anyway, the one thing that I found was the best thing for a noob like me
was the recent posting of your document on how to create a machinekit image
from scratch from RCN Stretch version. I could understand most of it and I
am not sure if it's because I have spent literally months trying to learn
Linux etc. or because it was very noob friendly. Maybe a bit of both. If
you are able to create more "noob" material like this on all aspects of
Machinekit, I would think that perhaps many people like me that are
learning for a hobby, would greatly benefit from it. This is regardless of
whether you embark on the "commercial" Machinekit path you speak of.

Anyway, these are my random thoughts of a noobie as he has his morning
coffee here in Canada where it's currently -15C........

Keep up the great work !

Lewis
