Another solution could be to do QA tests, using either automated
testtool or manual tests.
Testing can be done at the same time as building by using fast user
switching and running the other processes in the background.
Yet another possibility very helpfull for us, could be build Aqua
versions following the most recent milestones, including/testing
some cws.

You need to be able to build open office.org before being able to
create a buildbot. Setting up a buildbot is easier than installing
all the prerequisites for OpenOffice.org.
