Larry: Nothing. Thunderbird mail will not work with OpenOffice.org on the Mac. There is an open issue, and it has been so for a long time, but the problem is not how OpenOffice.org calls Thunderbird, it is Thunderbird's reaction to the command. Supposedly the folks at the project WERE working on it. I don't know the status of this action as there is supposedly very little work being done on Thunderbird anymore.
