In Finder, Connect to server (command-K)
smb://192.168.0.1
or
Open up a new Finder window/Network Window (command-shift-K)
(in my case, Linux SMB server)
Network -> Mygroup -> localhost (yes, I've done a lot of name
customisation... this server is now a year old ;-)
