Are you having problems with your clock? If so, your battery may need
to be replaced.

Alternately, you may be having problems with your PRAM. This can be
fixed with a bit of XPostFacto (do a google for it). I have a Beige G3
that has a b*tch of a time booting into OS X (it's a YellowDogLinux
server with an OS 9 boot partition) on its own, but with a bit of help
from XPostFacto it works nicely.

Just did the search for you :):

PS Make sure you have a bootable CD or floppy disk kicking around for
those annoying occasions where your computer forgets what OS it's
supposed to boot.

PSS There is a combo to reset pram... something like
command-option-P-R before you hear the restart chime.

Eric.
