Hi Luc,
You could try to test the PRAM battery and replace it if it is below 3.6V. This Mac is old and if the battery is dead, this could prevent it to boot (not enough juice to access the ROM for booting). By the way, I had the same problem with my PM6100 and found great prices for this battery on eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5136168852&ed=1100065369000&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOT:CA:3).
