To each his own. I wasn't actually recommending Purolater, especially since it doesn't exist as a separate company anymore--hence your packages arriving at the local post office.
However, in my experience, I've had far fewer problems with Purolater/Canada Post than I have had with any other delivery service, even FedEx. UPS is my particular pet peeve, and I won't even deal with companies that insist on using them.
I'm sure we all have horror stories about various couriers--none of them are good all the time--so let's not go there...please...
