Ease of use is relative, but I cannot think of a good reason to
run Linux if you already have Mac OS X.  Unless, of course, you
are concerned about software licensing or want to oppose totalitarian
IP legislation with a clean conscience.  Even then, Linux will run
as well on a 12" PowerBook as most Wintel laptops (I've gone through
this.  :-)

And sometimes it is easier to use the same stuff as the people
around you.  I'm in a field where Linux is very common.  They
started snatching up PowerBooks and iBooks for personal machines
as soon as they felt Mac OS X was proven.  I went from a state of
isolation to being one among many.  Now I have to find some black
spray paint and a Dell logo for my PowerBook.
