Right. Normally I'd just shrug and let this go, but you've recommended ehmac.ca 3 or 4 times... The story. I bid on a couple itmes at the Trading Post back when it was first in operation (c. Nov 99). I forget the details, but on item #1 I noticed either the initial bid or the reserve price change *after* I'd placed my opening bid. I complained to the site and was informed that the initial bid/reserve was a typo (!) and they had simply corrected it. Hmm. Item #2 - with appx 2-3 minutes left to go on an item I placed my bid. After a few seconds of humming and hawing I am informed that that auction had closed (!). I complained to the site and they said, in essence, too bad can't help you. It closes when it closes. Yet according to the clock /timer at their site, I should have had plenty of time to bid. Hopefully they've cleaned up their act since then. BTW, the fellow who corresponded with me back then identified himself as John Strikwerda. I soon found out that #1 had been placed by him - and he, the site owner, had revised the opening bid/reseve.
