Not supported, does not mean it won't work with Macs. I have a Cli PEG-SJ22, which synchs just fine with my Pismo, running OS 10.2. It will synch with the Palm Desktop which is a free download from Palm; I've also synched the address book with Microsoft's Entourage. My current setup is to synch the address book, the to do list, and the calendar with Apple's software (Address Book and iCal) via iSync, and the memos, archives, uploads etc via Palm Desktop. Works great, and with the latest versions of iSync and iCal, it's consistent and fast.
The Sony Cli we have (PEG-SJ20) is NOT compatible with Macs; although I think I read somewhere that there was a software package available (for sale) {from Sony?} [from Palm?] that would overcome this. I am not sure if any other models have Mac compatibility, but the answer when I searched using our model number was:
"The CLIɮ handheld is not supported for use with Apple Macintosh computers."
The problem with Sony PDAs and Macs has more to do with the extra PDA software provided on the CD-ROM. These are mostly .exe files and thus unusable on a mac. It would have been simple enough to provide .prc files, but they chose not to.
