try either double tapping the screen prior to tapping the menu key, or
use your directional controls to explore the bottom of your phone to
find the speaker phone check box. If ics or above, use your finger.

connected? it should open the stock phone application with on --
screen keypad activate.
On some devices, it simply launches the stock phone application
and one may need to activate the phone keypad by again pressing
the menu key and selection "Keypad".

It's not an app, I'm talking about using the dial pad on the phone
for interacting with menus and such.
