My Lyx user directory is a network path that CMD doesn't allow me to go to execute the program suggested.
I haven't understand the problem. When you install LyX with admin permissions, LyX is usable for all users on a PC, no matter what permissions they have.
When you need to add a directory to the PATH environment variable, then open Windows' System settings dialog. There you find under the advanced tab the button "Environment variables" where you can add your path to the PATH variable.
Is there a way I can change this user directory, or pass a parameter to the script saying where to create the folder?
Yes, open in LyX the menu Tools -> Preferences and change there under Path the directories. regards Uwe
