Yes, that is what I said at the start. Then how in the world can it be an update of kdebase from version 3 to 4.0.1 makes lyx break? Or, more to the point, what should I do to make LyX or tetex use the other eps tools that do work? Maybe in the xdg setup I can tell Lyx to use xdvi rather than the apparently broken kde thing?
