I have some lyxcode examples that are just too long for a printed page
such as Unix command line output.

Anyone use any type of graphic arrow to say that the line continues on
next line?

------

   <--

Something like character drawing above?

How did you insert in your lyxcode?

In some cases, I just reduce the font size. Another idea would be to make
a screenshot and use an actual image of it.

Any other suggestions for dealing with long lines would be appreciated.

With command-line examples (not the output), I use shell backslash \
line continuation character.
