When I tried adding the directory info and leaving the file extension as .ps, 
it could not locate the file.  (�"Unable to print file 'test.ps' -- 
client-error-not-found")

It seems as if it is not creating the postscript file, because rather than 
formatting the document, it prints the formatting instructions, such as 
"\textclass article, \spacing single" etc.

I think there must be something missing from my installation, but I am so new 
to Lyx (and am fairly new to Linux) that I don't know where to go from here.  
So frustrating!  I would use Kword or Abiword, but I have tried them and 
don't like them very much.
