And this often blocks out Lynx, of course. The Stack Exchange family of websites is the latest to succumb to this. So now, if you Google a question such as "copy a URL in Lynx" and the top hit happens to be a superuser.com page: https://superuser.com/questions/82969/how-do-i-copy-a-link-in-lynx when you try to visit that link, even if you accept all their cookies you still just get to a page that says "Enable JavaScript and cookies to continue".
