It might be cool to promote the contest in a variety of arenas, and get
exposure from as much media as possible.
Maybe have a contest for the tracks, and a contest for the art. (1st
place is Cover, 2nd place is CD, 3rd place is the back, or something)
I like the idea of using only open source tools, also. The submission
guidelines would have to be very clear on that issue, as well as the
issue of song copyright.
It would need to be decided beforehand, what licensing would be
acceptable for submissions. Would the mmpz files be released as well?
It would be nice to have some sort of graphic people can put in their
blogs to link to the contest page (which would need to be made as well).
I can contribute some web page designing if needed.
