As reported by top, my low-mem system has (at best) 1.5 Mb of free
memory after booting from the 6.2-5 CD or r2130-min on disk, and
running top. I was surprised it was this low, but since I was able
to succesfully compile binutils with a large swap space, I suppose
it works.

However, there are 5 instances of "livecd-login" each taking 4.1%
mem that I rarely use (ALT-F2 through ALT-F6 I assume). Is there
any feasible way to recoup this memory without affecting the build
process? Thanks.
