Ross, I am hoping you can provide some advice as to how I might debug a problem I am having. It is "reasonably", but not perfectly repeatable.
My setup is a dericam IP camera (A) with an rtsp server on a subnet (rtsp://Aip:554/12). On the same subnet, there is a server (L) running live555proxyServer exporting A's rtsp stream as rtsp://l555ip:8554/proxyStream-1. There is another (janus) server (J) that supports webrtc and exports J's rtsp to a browser on another subnet. In general, things work fine. However, when I start viewing the stream through janus, and then stop viewing the stream, and then let things sit for a while, then try to start viewing the stream again, I do not get image data all the way through to janus. It may be a janus problem, it may be a live555 problem, or it may be a camera problem. When I get into the situation where I seem (from a janus and live555 perspective) to be able to talk to the camera, but still not get image data, I tried running vlc on the same subnet as live555 and the camera. Looking at vlc, I can see the camera's image data, but looking at the live555 port I cannot. (When everything is working fine, I can see (using vls and janus) the camera's image data both directly with the camera and through live555.) So, this makes me think janus is not the culprit, but something I have done has put the live555 and camera in an undesirable state. Do you have a suggestion as to what I should do next to further isolate the problem? -brian
