Yes. This (the sending of ‘dummy' RTCP packets to improve NAT traversal) has been part of the “LIVE555 Streaming Media” software (which, by the way, has perhaps the largest market share of any implementation of RTP/RTCP in the world) for 3.5 years now. (Ironically, Axis themselves used to use our software to implement their network cameras - but apparently no longer do.) So please contact Axis, telling them to fix their software. (As always, I’d be happy to work directly with any network camera manufacturer to help them improve their product(s).)
