Anyways I started by opening the command line and navigating to > testprogs and I place a test.mkv there. then I type the following command > > C:\Users\Lobna\Downloads\live.2017.01.26\live\testProgs>testonDemandRTSPServer > rtsp://192.168.1.108:8554/test.mkv
The “testOnDemandRTSPServer” command doesn’t take any command-line argument. Instead, it assumes that the file that it wants to stream is located in the current directory. I suggest typing: cd C:\Users\Lobna\Downloads\live.2017.01.26\live\testProgs then: testonDemandRTSPServer > I also tried to use openRTSP using this command > C:\Users\Lobna\Downloads\live.2017.01.26\live\testProgs>openRTSP -V -n > rtsp://192.168.1.108:8554/test.mkv >> dump.txt > > and this was the output=> > Failed to get a SDP description for the URL > "rtsp://192.168.1.108:8554/test.mkv" > : Connection to server failed: No connection could be made because the target > ma > chine actively refused it > > I saw some posts mentioning that it might be a firewall problem, but I > checked and its not my case. However, the error message that you got suggests some sort of problem with your Windows firewall. Make sure that - initially - you run “openRTSP” on the same computer as “testOnDemandRTSPServer”. Only once that works should you try running “openRTSP” on a different computer. > what am I doing wrong? and which .exe is the server and which is the > receiver? Huh? How could you not know this? “testOnDemandRTSPServer” is, of course, the RTSP server. “openRTSP” is, of course, the RTSP client.
