To date, none of our customers have asked for RTP Header Extensions to be supported. That’s why it hasn’t been high-priority.
However, they’re going to be necessary to support some future WebRTC-related features (in particular, bundling audio and video together in a single RTP/RTCP session). So they will definitely be supported in some future release. Be patient...
